Jam: Javelin & Prince Rama
Typically, on any given weekend with no L train service in Brooklyn, it’s hard to get motivated to do anything more distant than a local bar. It’s either a long, hot, and crowded shuttle bus ride or a $20 cab fare. If you’re going out and doing something, it had better be really fucking cool.
We thought a Javelin show at 285 Kent (next door to Glasslands) would be just that, and they delivered. The crowd seemed to be equally there for Prince Rama, a polar-opposite psychedelic act on Paw Tracks. Both bands tried out new songs with enthusiastic success. Photos below:
