Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings delivered silky sermons through revivalist funk and soul to a sold-out crowd at the Music Hall of Williamsburg last Wednesday night. The long-ass set made me wonder how many calories Ms.Jones must burn in two hours. Sexy ladies were invited to come up on the stage and shake it and there were drum/keyboard/vocal/bongo solos all around. Groovy.
